The walk will commence at a target time of 10.00 am from Alsop station car park although there is informal parking within about five minutes walk. Up to three people are welcome to travel from Parwich with me, (Slate House DE61QD). First three to email me, departure at 9.40 sharp.

The actual river valley has been comprehensively trodden by many so the River Dove will be a guide for a path through the trees at the top of the eastern bank. Thereafter an anticlockwise loop will be taken using bits of Gag Lane or the Tissington Trail as the whim of the moment, and the wind, may dictate.
