Meet at Black Rock Car Park (SK291557) by the Kiosk/Toilet at 10:15 for a 10:30 departure.
The route essentially circumnavigates Alderwasley. From Black Rock we pass through Bolehill, picking our way south easterly before dropping down and through Shining Cliff Woods and joining the Midshires Way which we follow to the High Peak Trail which takes us back to Black Rock.

The distance is a little over 16 km with about 550 m of ascent. There is no obvious stop for refreshments on the route (other than at the start/finish) so bring a packed lunch with you.
