Scottish west coast stacks, pinacles and classics

Sat. 27th May – Sun. 4th June 2023

I’m aiming at classic climbs, there are climbs of all grades, great walking and canoeing too. The plan is set by the tides for the Old Man of Stoer (North of Lochinver) which are better in the second week.  So we will start on Skye at the Glen Brittle campsite from Sat. 20th May, objectives include the Cuillin Ridge and the Dubhs ridge, choose what you fancy. We will then move further up the west coast to the Lochinver area in Coigach and Assyn on Sat. 27th May. Here I’m hoping for a good day on the sea stack the Old Man of Stoer, a scramble up the gorgeous looking Suilven, some canoeing and something on the spectacular Stac Pollaidh.

If time permits, on the way back, I’d like to visit the Applecross area.

Arrangements are:
Glenbrittle, Skye – Sat. 20th May leaving Sat. 27th May
Clachtoll beach campsite – Sat. 27th May leaving Sat 3rd June

Please book for Clachtoll as soon as possible, its on the north coast 50 route so is popular. They don’t have serviced pitches for the full week. I’ve booked at Clachtoll for part the week with electricity and and part of the week without. When you book do put in the online booking form comments that you are part of the Oread, they ask that people who are coming in a group say so in their booking.

At Glenbrittle booking is not needed.
