This is section 11 of the official Geo walk. It is approximately seven miles from Birchen Clough to Fairholmes car park. I would suggest starting at Birchen Clough and doing a car shunt as when I did a recce it was impossible to start at Fairholmes as no parking and tricky to park at Birchen Clough. Therefore I feel we need to aim for a 9.30 am start and try and car share where possible. I looked at a circular walk – proved very tricky without being really long. Depends on who is coming – we can be a bit fluid on the day and go with the flow as there are possible options or could just extend the Fairholmes end to the dams a little!

If folks want to let me know if they are coming I will do my best regarding figuring out logistics. It would help if you let me know how many cars/people in cars.
