Rhoscolyn – Anglesey, 25-27 September

(with flexibility if you want a longer weekend.)

Camping and Vans. We have provisionally booked for the club to use the Pentre
Iago campsite in Rhoscolyn.

This is ideally situated for the climbing at Rhoscolyn which has a wide variety of
grades on offer and is in walking distance of the campsite. It’s also only a short
drive to north stack and south stack where of course there are arguably the
highest concentration of world class routes anywhere in Britain. Tides will be at a
low after 4.00pm. Holyhead Mountain also offers fantastic climbing if you are
worried about the sea.
If you like a post or pre climb swim, the beach which is sheltered is a few minutes
walk and very pleasant. There are lovely coastal walks and excellent kayaking
area and coasteering for wet weather alternatives.
The campsite does not need booking individually unless you want electricity. If
this is the case contact the site asap. Details on the website.
https://pentreiagocampsite.weebly.com/contact.html. I have asked whether we
can have the lower field to pitch together for a good social weekend.
There is a very good restaurant in the White Eagle local pub again a few minutes
from the camping. This is definitely worth booking for a group of us for the
Saturday. I will organise through the WhatsApp group. I have of course booked an
Indian Summer.
