What could be better than an Autumn weekend in Langdale? We will be based at
the FRCC hut Raw Head. This is in a great position with more than enough
climbing and walking from the hut.

Climbing covers every taste from mountain routes to bouldering, including 4 Classic Rock routes, 2 from Hard Rock, the third one having fallen down since the book was published, and for the more ambitious 7 from Extreme Rock, For the walkers most of Lakeland’s central fells are accessible, with at least 18 Wainwrights easily accessible walking from the hut. And for those who fancy a nice cooling swim after or during the day’s activity there are 3 easily reachable tarns and 3 more slightly further away.
