The Oread welcomes climbers, mountaineers and walkers of all standards.
We meet socially in the Smithfield Pub, Meadow Road, Derby on the second Tuesday of each month after 9:00pm, and in the winter months for our monthly lecture evening at the Royal Oak Ockbrook on the first Tuesday of each month. For further information contact the President. The club has huts in North Wales and Derbyshire and has an active program of regular weekend and evening meets.

There is a regular meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Wirksworth Climbing Wall.

As a long established club with over 160 members we enjoy a great diversity of activity and experience from day walks in the Peak to mountaineering in the Alps, from winter slide shows to Wednesday evening cragging.
